I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Devon West was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

West gets caught napping as Silk dives in and scores a takedown. West manages to retain guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Silk's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silk stops West from standing up.
West really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silk. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We're going to have a standup here because Casey Silk wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Silk shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as West sprawls well. West wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Silk gets slowly back to his feet.
West throws a series of punches but Silk moves out of range.
West tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Silk drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Silk is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down West's shoulder. That is not cool.

Fadda shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Dzoko is trying to defend but Fadda finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Matei is trying to force a seperation but Tsuki has the dominant position.

Nice takedown defense from Breaker. No joy for McCole on that attempt.
Breaker stalks McCole and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into McCole's face. McCole staggers backwards, shaken.
Breaker keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
McCole fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
McCole tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Breaker cracks McCole with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Breaker has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning McCole to stand back up!

It looks like Andy McCole has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Breaker fails to land with a series of punches.
Breaker throws a right and a left that both miss.
