The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Field shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Make counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Field thinking.
Field looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Make is fending him off so far but Field persists. Nope, Make circles away and we're back to standing.
Make connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Field's hands.
Field fails with a takedown attempt.

Make leaves Field with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from McGinley lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and De Noteboom has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from De Noteboom and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
McGinley goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Both fighters circling a little - McGinley finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
De Noteboom takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

De Noteboom gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! McGinley gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! De Noteboom is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
