The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.

Loid drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Loid keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Smith's head.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Smith really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Loid. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jeff Loid seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Loid goes for a double leg but Smith avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Smith continues to drive forward.

Loid takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Thyme lands a left and a right that send Cardozo crashing to the mat, dazed. Thyme thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Oscar Cardozo has been cut.
Thyme's coach down at BLACKSMITH GYM - THE 25 Coach Las Vegas Mega-Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Thyme's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Thyme throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Oh Cardozo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Thyme punishes Cardozo's body with a nice straight punch.
Cardozo leaves his chin hanging out and Thyme seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Cardozo crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
