Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyquan Zaal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chick Bowdrie!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bowdrie throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Bowdrie pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Zaal back to the cage. Bowdrie follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Bowdrie thuds a left hand into Zaal's body.
Good leg kick by Bowdrie there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
A telegraphed right hand from Bowdrie misses the target.
Zaal stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Zaal misses with a left hand

and Bowdrie counters with a head kick that drops Zaal to the mat! Zaal scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Zaal is rocked!
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Bowdrie engages and cracks Zaal with a massive lead left hook - Zaal tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Bowdrie is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!

Walker tries to score a power double leg takedown but Marchand sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Walker somewhat.
