Weatherby ducks straight into an uppercut from Cardoso and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Weatherby manages to regain guard straight away.

Hernandez has hold of Gonzales's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Gonzales manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Hernandez jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Gonzales is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Gonzales and Hernandez has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Hernandez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hernandez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Li! Trent is out on his feet! Li rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Trent is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Trent is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maxwell looks to land a combination but Batton avoids it well.
Maxwell swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Maxwell fails in his attempt to clinch.
Batton misses with a double jab.
Maxwell changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Maxwell throws a nice looking combination but Batton bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Todd Maxwell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Batton misses with a two punch combination.
Batton fails with an attempt to clinch.

Maxwell clinches.
Maxwell works on Batton's body with a couple of short punches.
Batton tries to land a knee to the head but Maxwell blocks with his arms.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Maxwell.
Batton is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Maxwell lands a left hand that snaps the head of Batton backwards.
Maxwell tries to break the clinch but Batton is controlling the position.
A frustrated look appears on Maxwell's face as he tries to break the clinch.
A right hook to the body lands for Maxwell.
Maxwell stalling the fight.
Batton keeps control of Maxwell as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Batton pulls guard.
Maxwell not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Batton looks gassed!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Todd Maxwell just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Batton wants to clinch but Maxwell slips to the side
enabling Maxwell to counter with a crisp jab.

Batton gets in close and instigates a clinch.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Maxwell.
Maxwell lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Batton or not.
Maxwell tries to circle away but Batton has him pinned against the cage.
Batton can't break the clinch.

Maxwell escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Batton on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Maxwell slips a jab and a cross from Batton.

Maxwell instigates a clinch.
Batton tries a body shot but Maxwell blocks it.
Batton has had enough of the clinch but Maxwell keeps him there for the moment.
Maxwell leaning against his opponent.
Maxwell lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Batton.
Come on Maxwell - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Maxwell breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Batton scores with a jab to the head.
Batton swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Batton walks into a straight right hand from Maxwell.
Maxwell misses with a two punch combination.
Maxwell connects with a good right hand that stumbles Batton. Batton circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Maxwell lands with a right that hurts Batton. Batton looks to clinch but Maxwell throws a short knee that drops Batton. This one is all over!
