Oh but Jones is tightening it up a little... Trindade has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Trindade reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Trindade taps out! Nice BJJ there by Jones!

De Almeida tries to get to his feet but Teon is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that De Almeida is in need of a savior and steps in!

Batista checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Johansen is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Batista.

Batista fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Johansen to the ground. Batista is now in Johansen's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Batista trying to control but Johansen is working from the bottom.
Johansen is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Batista is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Batista accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Batista is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Johansen wants to stand up but Batista is controlling him.

Batista passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Batista creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Johansen sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Batista is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Johansen is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Batista is staying tight to Johansen's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Johansen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Batista has control of Johansen's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Johansen regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Batista goes for an armbar but Johansen turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Johansen.

Batista has his foot on Johansen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Johansen works his way back into a safe position though.
Johansen is fighting to break Batista's control of his arms but Batista is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Johansen is sitting in close to Batista's body. Batista has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Johansen is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Johansen is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Batista.

We've been hearing good reports from Boxer's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Sowa has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Boxer is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Sowa.
