The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kailea lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Guapo has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Guapo and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Guapo looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Kailea uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Guapo.
A decent looking cross lands there for Kailea.

Guapo feints a jab promting Kailea to slip. Guapo then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Kailea slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Kailea connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Kailea throws a push kick but Guapo slaps the foot to one side.
Guapo cracks Kailea with a good jab.
Kailea gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Guapo gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Kailea is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Well Smokeleaf has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 9 - 1, fighting out of New York, Adam Gracie!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mateus Allen!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab by Gracie.
Allen slips under a jab from Gracie.
Allen looks for a takedown but Gracie sprawls well.
Allen fails with an attempt to clinch.
A jab from Gracie finds it's way through Allen's defenses.
Allen stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Allen swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Allen takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Gracie uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Allen.
Allen scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
A punch lands to the side of Allen 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Allen shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Gracie eats them both and turns towards Allen to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Allen stalks Gracie and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Gracie's face. Gracie staggers backwards, shaken.

That was a close round but I would say that Adam Gracie will probably get the nod.

Allen might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
