Martinez has instead reached around Townsley's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Martinez arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

That was a close round but I would say that Luke Price will probably get the nod.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Silva thows a body shot but no joy.
Silva misses with a hook. Black ducked under it nicely.
Black tries to clinch up but Silva circles away and keeps his distance.
Black really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

and Silva counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Silva with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Black is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Black is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Black can't keep his opponent in guard - Silva advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Silva is working for a kimura but Black is defending it quite comfortably.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Black has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Silva is working away from the top position though.
Black on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Black tries to get out of the position.

Silva uses his free foot to push down on Black's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Black.
Black knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silva on the ground.
Black wants to hold on but Silva pushes him away.
Silva lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Black hang on?
Silva is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Black can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Silva lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Silva is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Black is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Black flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Silva anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Black and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Silva slips an arm under Black chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Silva has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Silva is squeezing on Black like an anaconda would it's prey. Black fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Pablo Silva!
Pablo Silva was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.

Cruz goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Manley blocks a head kick by Cruz.
Manley lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Donk. Manley catches Cruz right on the button with a cross.

It looks like Jos Cruz has been cut.
Cruz shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Cruz misses with a low kick.
Cruz throws a sloppy head kick and Manley moves out of range easily.

and Manley counters with a crisp right hand that drops Cruz! Manley lets Cruz back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cruz takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Oh Cruz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Manley scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Cruz doesn't seem bothered though.
Cruz backs away from a small jab... but Manley lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Cruz crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Manley with a spectacular finish!

After the fight, Justin Manley was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

The crowd cheers as McLeary lands an impressive looking overhand right. Miles doesn't seem phased though.
Miles closes the distance and clinches up with McLeary, looking for a takedown. Miles pushes McLeary against the cage but McLeary circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
McLeary cracks Miles on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Miles falls backwards against the cage. McLeary follows up with more strikes that drop Miles to his knees. McLeary keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Miles! This one is all over!
