The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Cozad screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Lopes throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Sansing tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Lopes is in Sansing's guard.

Lopes got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sansing has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lopes has managed to get both his arms back between Sansing's legs - danger averted.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Sansing is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Lopes rolls with it to try and escape but Sansing cranks on the arm and Lopes is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

After the fight, Alan Sansing was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
