The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potz darts in trying to clinch

and Pugachov counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Still in half guard, Pugachov seems content to control.
Pugachov not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Pugachov working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Potz on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Potz tries to get out of the position.

Potz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pugachov on the ground.

Emelyan Pugachov spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Destroyer moves out of range of the leg kick from Sims.
Sims lands a slapping body shot.
Sims throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Destroyer stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Destroyer manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Sims on his heels. He'll look to pass Sims's guard now, I'm sure.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Sims is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Destroyer drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Destroyer jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Destroyer got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sims has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Destroyer has managed to get both his arms back between Sims's legs - danger averted.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Sims escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Destroyer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
