The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stifler uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Sakuraba has time to react.

It looks like Kazushi Sakuraba has been cut.

Nakamura drops his hands momentarily and Kajiwara needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Nakamura just on the top of the head. Nakamura drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Nakamura - he's done!

Severn cracks Akande with an uppercut from hell and Akande crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Severn's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Severn and the ref steps in to end the fight! Severn can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bruce thuds a left hand into Sapp's body.

We've been hearing reports that Sapp has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Bruce blocks a jab.
A telegraphed right hand from Sapp misses the target.
Bruce misses with a hook.
Sapp throws a body punch but Bruce moves out of range.
Bruce has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Sapp is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Sapp missing with a left hand there. Bruce was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

It looks like Simon Bruce has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bruce tries to work over Sapp's front leg with a kick but Sapp checks it.
No luck for Bruce with that takedown attempt.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bruce. Sapp does a little dance to reset his feet.

Sapp scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Sapp throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Sapp counters with a nice right hand that sends Bruce toppling to the canvas! Bruce scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Sapp finish him?!

Sapp throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bruce sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Sapp lands a big uppercut and Bruce crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Bruce looks OK. Sapp waves Bruce back to his feet!

Bruce fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sapp manages to avoid it.
Bruce looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sapp is fending him off so far but Bruce persists. Nope, Sapp circles away and we're back to standing.
Bob Sapp seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sapp looks to land a left hand but Bruce moved out of range nicely.
Bruce throws a right and a left that both miss.
Bruce walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Bruce limp body while Sapp jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
