The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tonkov stuffs the takedown.
Standell tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Tonkov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Tonkov is trying hard to land a takedown here. Standell sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Tonkov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Tonkov throws out a loose jab but Standell uses good head movement to avoid it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Standell looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Tonkov shoots in looking for a takedown. Standell tries to sprawl out of it but Tonkov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Standell manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jan Standell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Miasu Tonkov.
Tonkov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Standell but Standell pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Tonkov takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Tonkov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Standell tries to avoid it but Tonkov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Standell to the ground. Standell escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Standell wants to control but Tonkov is keeping him busy.
Tonkov can't do much from the bottom here.

Tonkov tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Standell wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Standell is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Tonkov has escaped the position, nice work there.

Folki shoots in and drives through. Taki sprawls well.
Folki fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Folki.

Taki has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Taki is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Folki is trying to keep Taki in close.
Taki wants to get up but he can't break Folki's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Folki has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Folki manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Folki throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Taki has his hands clasped together but Folki breaks the hold and Taki is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Folki!

Djay tries to roll over but Harder keeps him under control.
Harder wants to pass to mount but Djay is defending the position.
Djay should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Ioptoa has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Vettel passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Vettel is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Vettel working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Vettel is working to tighten is grip on Timber's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Timber has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Vettel is really squeezing tight and eventually Timber passes out! Vettel breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Watt looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Voigle is fending him off so far but Watt persists. Nope, Voigle circles away and we're back to standing.
Voigle rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Watt moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Watt uses his free foot to push down on Voigle's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Voigle.
