The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson has closed the distance and engaged Benko in a clinch.

Jackson tightens his grip and picks Benko up, before dumping him to the ground. Benko manages to land in guard.

Benko is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Jackson presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Benko lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Benko is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Jackson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Benko moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Jackson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Benko tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jackson is in Benko's guard.
Jackson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Zivko has closed the distance and engaged Leclerc in a clinch.
Zivko lands a good knee to the midsection. Leclerc won't want to take too many of those.

Mario Zivko spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.

I think Nelson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Hero of War. Jan Jasper will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Nelson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Jasper with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Jasper lands a body shot.
Nelson takes a kick to the side of the head.

It looks like Sargent Nelson has been cut.
Nelson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jasper sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nelson somewhat.
Jasper fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jasper buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Jasper shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Nelson eats them both and turns towards Jasper to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Jasper is looking to slow Nelson down with leg kicks.
Oh Nelson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jan Jasper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jasper tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Nelson seems to have got his legs back now.
Jasper scores with a hook to the body. Nelson takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Nelson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Nelson wants to control but Jasper is keeping him busy.

Nelson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Nelson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Jasper really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nelson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Petrovic can do anything to dispel that myth.

Petrovic has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Down is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Petrovic.
Petrovic takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Down unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Petrovic wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Down celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Gatti can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
