Karelin anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Toole and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Karelin slips an arm under Toole chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Karelin has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Karelin is squeezing on Toole like an anaconda would it's prey. Toole fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! Powell fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Holmes manages to avoid it.

Calaway has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Power dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Abbot. That did some damage!

Abbot might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Power is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Abbot crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Power - the referee stops the clock and Abbot gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Power. Abbot manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

and Power holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Abbot wants to get back to striking at distance but Power won't allow it.

Abbot breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Power with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Abbot to score with a decent uppercut.
That kick from Power tenderised Abbot's leg. Abbot is trying to keep his angry face on.

Abbot takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
