The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matsuo lands a nice hook to Dias's body. Dias takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Matsuo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Matsuo throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Dias.

It looks like Gabriel Dias has been cut.
Matsuo thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Dias if he has to take too many more of those.
Matsuo feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Dias's calf.
Matsuo feints a jab promting Dias to slip. Matsuo then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Dias slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Damian Matsuo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Matsuo feints a jab promting Dias to slip. Matsuo then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Dias slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Dias shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Matsuo defends it nicely.

and Matsuo counters with a left and a right that stings Dias.
Dias takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
A head kick by Matsuo - that's a beauty! Dias is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Matsuo can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Comando is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Moriga uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Comando has time to react.

Alm sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Alm shoots for a double leg takedown but ZasZas sprawls well. He's pushed Alm's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ryoto Machida will probably get the nod.
