Santiago manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. West manages to get himself to full guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Jones throws a nice outside leg kick.
Wakizashi is looking to land body kicks.
Wakizashi looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Jones connects with a right hand. Wakizashi shakes it off.
Jones takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Jones throws an overhand right that lands on Wakizashi's shoulder, as Wakizashi tries to avoid the shot.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Jones, right into the meat.
Wakizashi scores with a punch to the head.
Jones throws a lazy right hand but Wakizashi sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Wakizashi looks to land a combination. Jones sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Wakizashi finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Jones checks a low kick from Wakizashi.
Jones feints and then cracks Wakizashi's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Wakizashi down.
Wakizashi lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Jones falls backwards - clearly groggy! Wakizashi dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kabuto Wakizashi!
Kabuto Wakizashi really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Damnfield clothing logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.

enabling Kyle to counter with a crisp jab.
Kyle scores with a hook to the body. Gray takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Gray is looking to clinch.
Kyle throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Kyle throws a leg kick but Gray sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Gray is looking to clinch but Kyle is avoiding it.
Kyle throws a solid leg kick but Gray takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Kyle.
Gray tries to clinch

and Kyle counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Gray has momentary wrist control but Kyle slips an elbow through the middle.
Kyle scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Gray is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Gray throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Gray looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kyle is one step ahead there.
Kyle content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Gray lands a couple of decent looking body shots there.
Kyle forces his way into half guard.
Gray missing with punches from the bottom.
Gray wants to get back to full guard.
Ground and pound from Kyle.

Kyle scores with a big shot! Gray's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Gray! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!

Kenric Kyle tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
