Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Casy Carver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Newton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carver's entrance music is Bon Jovi - It's my life. A fine choice. Newton has chosen wild boy as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Casy Carver had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newton misses with a takedown attempt
and Carver counters with a nice kick to the body.

Newton looking to score a takedown here. Carver is defending well but Newton drives through and ends up in Carver's guard.
Carver will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Newton prevents Carver from getting back to his feet.
Carver seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Newton slips nicely into half guard.

Newton is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Carver still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Carver has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Carver content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Newton pushes Carver away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Carver gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Carver tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Carver has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Carver really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Carver pushes off an throws an elbow but Newton leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to The Batman.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Batman, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
