The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kukesen throws the kick towards the body but Batarao avoids it.
Kukesen tries a head kick but it misses.
Kukesen tries to clinch there but Batarao circles away.

Batarao scores with a takedown into Kukesen's guard.
Batarao stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kukesen swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Batarao drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kukesen dives on top into guard.
Batarao trying to keep a closed guard but Kukesen is proving a slippery customer.

Batarao isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Kukesen stacks Batarao on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Kukesen!

Kukesen has hold of Batarao's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Batarao seems comfortable defending it but Kukesen has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Batarao is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Batarao is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Kukesen couldn't care less - he's delighted!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Avro Lancaster.

Pistone lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hook circles away quickly and effectively.
Hook lands a head kick. Pistone smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Pistone. Hook shrugs it off though.
Pistone throws a low kick but Hook moves out of range easily.
Hook takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Hook attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Pistone tries to land a front kick but Hook steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

We've been informed that Pistone has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Joe Pistone decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Jallu throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Greydorian sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Turpa Jallu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Greydorian drops Jallu with a big left hand and mounts him. Jallu is in big trouble!

It looks like Turpa Jallu has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Greydorian wants to finish this one by submission but Jallu is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Greydorian.
Greydorian postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Jallu in real trouble here! The ref calls for Jallu to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Azarov Greydorian!
A very excited looking Azarov Greydorian rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

Franlkin thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Oh Dinev is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Franlkin has an Americana. Dinev didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Franlkin is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Franlkin hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
