Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wee Ning!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Danny White!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ning shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ning showed some decent athleticism there.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
White is looking to improve his position.
Ning wants to pass to mount but White is defending the position.

Ning is looking for a kimura here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ning is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, White has managed to free his arm - good work.

White looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Ning is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

White has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ning is working away from the top position though.

White is defending against the submission attempts here by Ning.

Ning sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

White wants to clinch up but Ning keeps it at a distance.
White doesn't manage to clinch there - Ning circles away.
White fails with an attempt to clinch.
White tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ning swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A telegraphed right hand from Ning misses the target.

Ning closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. White did well to prevent Ning getting side control.
Ning wants to free his trapped foot but White is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
White is looking to improve his position.

Ning is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ning connects with a nice short shot to White's temple.

Ning is looking for a kimura but White is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ning to get the leverage.
White slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Ning has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can White defend it? Ning steps over the head and cranks it - White is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Ning!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:07 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Wee Ning!
A very excited looking Wee Ning made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
Danny White was interviewed post fight and said 'No worries. I'm confident this fight will be ruled a 'no-contest' after my opponent here tests positive for drugs.'.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Luke has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Silveira can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Luke wriggles free and stands up.

Silveira looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Luke is fending him off so far but Silveira persists. Nope, Luke circles away and we're back to standing.

Silveira is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Silveira shoots for a double leg takedown but Luke sprawls well. He's pushed Silveira's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Silveira shoots in for a takedown but Luke shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Luke wants to get back to striking at distance but Silveira won't allow it.
Silveira drops down looking for an ankle pick but Luke pulls his leg out and moves away.
Luke misses with a low kick.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Luke fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Silveira sprawls well initially but Luke persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Luke works his way into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


No luck with that takedown attempt from Silveira.
Silveira ducks under a wild hook from Luke.
Luke tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Silveira paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Silveira blocks a head kick by Luke.

Luke throws a punch but it's blocked by Silveira.

Luke jumps into guard, dragging Silveira to the mat.
Luke is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Silveira can do to turn this around?

Luke goes for a double leg but Silveira avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Silveira continues to drive forward.

Silveira has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Luke after a bit of a struggle.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Silveira sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Luke's guard.
Silveira frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Silveira trying to control but he's not successful this time.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Silveira prevents Luke from getting the reversal.

Boyce Luke overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Luke prevents any damage by holding on tight.
Luke manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Luke has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Luke manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Luke has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Silveira uses from the top position.
