Bariga uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Kidane has eaten all the pies!

Bariga bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kidane's head backwards.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kidane throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Kidane walks straight into a right hand from Bariga - that's dropped him! Bariga jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Kidane from any more punishment! Kidane complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vari scores with a decent looking hook.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Grzywa has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Grzywa throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vari's waist but Vari gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Grzywa off to one side.
Vari definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Grzywa shoots for a double leg takedown but Vari sprawls well. He's pushed Grzywa's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Vari throws a nice looking combination but Grzywa bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A right-left combo lands from Vari.
Grzywa fails with an attempt to clinch.
Grzywa throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Vari connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Grzywa seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Vari shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Grzywa is backing up but Vari catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Grzywa covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Vari Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

Pae lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Jones wants the takedown. Pae is fighting it off but Jones persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Pae's guard against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jones takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
