Bam manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Bam is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Salnik drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Lambert is trying to control Salnik's posture but Salnik avoids it.

Salnik is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Lambert has escaped the position, nice work there.
Salnik connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Lambert some visible discomfort.

Shin dips to his left and cracks Jim with an uppercut!

Jim drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Shin is looking to cinch up a triangle. Jim throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Shin's body to avoid the submission. Shin has instead reached around Jim's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Shin arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Takeru cracks Zazulin with an open hand slap.

It looks like Vladimir Zazulin has been cut.
Takeru takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

It looks like Mochi Takeru has been cut.
Takeru throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Zazulin sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Mochi Takeru seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Takeru lunges at Zazulin with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Zazulin's hand.

Zazulin ducks straight into an uppercut from Takeru and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Zazulin manages to regain guard straight away.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Takeru stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Zazulin swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Takeru drops back looking for a leg! Zazulin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Zazulin manages to kick Takeru off! Takeru jumps back into Zazulin's guard.
Takeru tries to free his leg and advance position but Zazulin is retaining full guard.
Zazulin is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Takeru is controlling him.
Takeru stands and throws Zazulin's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Zazulin wants to get back to his feet but Takeru drags him back down.

Takeru has hold of Zazulin's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Zazulin seems comfortable defending it but Takeru has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Zazulin is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Zazulin is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Takeru couldn't care less - he's delighted!

I was talking to Elephant 's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Rutger Snabel's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
