Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sao Marcos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phreak Nakkan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nakkan has chosen Voodoo as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nakkan turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Nakkan dodges the punch combination from Marcos.
Marcos will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nakkan fails with a takedown attempt.
Nakkan stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Marcos throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
A knee to the head by Nakkan.

Nakkan is trying to trip Marcos. He has hold of a leg but Marcos is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Nakkan persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Marcos's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Nakkan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Marcos tries to kick Nakkan off but Nakkan keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Marcos might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Nakkan not doing much here.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Marcos fails to land the takedown.
Marcos goes for a double leg but Nakkan avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Nakkan continues to drive forward.
Nakkan pushes Marcos back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Nakkan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Marcos fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Nakkan to the ground. Marcos is now in Nakkan's guard.

Marcos isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Nakkan stacks Marcos on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Nakkan!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Sao Marcos.

Smilov seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
