The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as White throws out the jab.
White keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Watson.
Watson tests White's chin there with a solid looking shot.
A looping hook to the body misses from White. Watson does a little dance to reset his feet.

White will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

White throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Watson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. White is in Watson's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

White postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Watson is looking for a triangle but White pushes his legs off easily.
White would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Watson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and White defends well.

Watson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Watson is breathing heavily.

White thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
White postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

White wants to pass the guard but Watson is keeping the position.

Watson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for White on the ground.

White tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no White has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

White is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Watson is trying to escape and White transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Watson is forced to tap! Nice work there by White! Very nice indeed!

Slice comes to the cage accompanied by Last Resort-Papa Roach. Regan has chosen Thrift shop as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Slice looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Regan!
Slice works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Regan is looking for a sweep.
Regan is still trying to improve position.
Slice cracks Regan with a big right hand but Regan just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Regan is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Regan is working to avoid the ground and pound but Slice connects with a decent elbow.
Regan is trying to improve his position.
Slice working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Regan tries to bench press Slice off him but Slice keeps the position.

Slice cracks Regan with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Slice immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Regan is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Slice!

We've been hearing good reports from Poletto's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Howlingate is refusing to be controlled, as Poletto sits in half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Howlingate can do anything to dispel that myth.

Howlingate has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Howlingate, as that shot connected.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Poletto walks into a stiff left hand from Howlingate.
Howlingate dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Howlingate connects with a body shot that sends Poletto's belly button to the back.

Howlingate cracks Poletto with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Poletto looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Howlingate finish him?

It looks like Sandro Poletto has been cut.
Howlingate plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Poletto to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Poletto just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!
