Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alex Cross!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nicolas De Ertu!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cross pushes De Ertu up against the cage in a clinch.

De Ertu pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
De Ertu throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Cross drives through and clinches with De Ertu against the cage.
De Ertu avoiding damage as Cross throws knees to the body.

De Ertu is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Cross can't fight it off and eventually De Ertu manages to take the fight to the floor. Cross looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
De Ertu controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Cross knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for De Ertu on the ground.
Cross has De Ertu pulled in close to control his posture.
De Ertu is working Cross over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells De Ertu's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Cross looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but De Ertu puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Cross is trying to stand up here but De Ertu is controlling him well.
De Ertu is taking a breather. Cross says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. De Ertu connects with a nice short shot to Cross's temple.

De Ertu working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
De Ertu wants to stand up but Cross is controlling the position.

De Ertu perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Nicolas De Ertu was stalling too much, according to the referee.
De Ertu throws a series of punches but Cross avoids them all with ease.

De Ertu closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Cross quickly recovers to half guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

De Ertu has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cross can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Well De Ertu has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

On his way into the cage it seems that Kenny Brandon has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Kenny Brandon seems to be OK! Kickass slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Brandon dives in and grabs Kickass's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kickass pushes down on Brandon's head and hops out.
