Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Wilkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wilkins is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Eminem - Survival. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jay Wilkins!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves just misses with a punch to the body.
Alves throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Wilkins fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Alves manages to avoid it.
Alves shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Wilkins eats them both and turns towards Alves to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

It looks like Jay Wilkins has been cut.
Wilkins moves away from the strike by Alves .
Wilkins wants to slow Alves down by chopping away at his legs.

Wilkins shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Alves napping and manages to drive through into side control!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Wilkins creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Alves sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Wilkins looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Alves is avoiding damage well.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Wilkins working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Alves tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Wilkins wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Marko on the side of the head.

Marko tries to sprawl but Coleman drives through with a takedown into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Coleman connects with a nice short shot to Marko's temple.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Marko is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Coleman's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Coleman's back!
Coleman is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Marko off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Marko has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Coleman has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Marko to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Coleman is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Marko pulls down on the head and he's put Coleman to sleep! This one is all over!
