The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smith clinches up against the cage.

Stone is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Smith misses with a series of wild punches.
Stone scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

It looks like Alan Smith has been cut.

Smith tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Stone was well out of range. Poor timing from Smith.

Stone decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Smith connects with a nice short shot to Stone's temple.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Smith is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Boschat's coach down at BEVA Fight Home was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Boschat's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Burger throws a body punch but Boschat moves out of range.
Boschat connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Burger's hands.
Oh Burger is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Boschat loads up on a big right hand but Burger slips the punch.
Boschat lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Nice defenses there by Boschat.
Burger seems to have got his legs back now.
Burger throws a looping overhand right but Boschat ducks down to avoid it.
Boschat thuds his right hand into Burger's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Burger on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Boschat throws a monster overhand right that drops Burger! Boschat follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

Haka shoots in but Steel avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Haka tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Steel defends well and Haka ends up having to push Steel into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Haka is trying to drag Steel to the mat but Steel just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yoda Haka. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Steel throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Haka.
Haka has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Ali batters Gans with a massive right followed by a huge left! Gans is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Ali lands a final crushing right hand to drop Gans to the mat with a gruesome thud! Ali is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!

Oms has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jackson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Jackson keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Oms's head.

Oms is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jackson defends well.

FaceBreaker's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
FaceBreaker will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
FaceBreaker is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gun.

A looping hook to the body misses from FaceBreaker. Gun does a little dance to reset his feet.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Tommy Gun hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

and Gun counters with a low kick, right behind FaceBreaker 's knee.

Gun gets tackled into the cage by FaceBreaker. FaceBreaker maintains the clinch.
FaceBreaker pushes Gun back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
FaceBreaker tries a knee to the head but Gun blocks it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

FaceBreaker wants to land a leg kick but Gun is out of range.

FaceBreaker lands a left and a right that send Gun crashing to the mat, dazed. FaceBreaker thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
FaceBreaker fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Gun is out of range.
Buster FaceBreaker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
FaceBreaker misses with a hook
and Gun makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
FaceBreaker looks for a left high kick but can't connect. FaceBreaker backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Gun's temple! It sends Gun violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as FaceBreaker celebrates and the doctors try to help Gun!
