The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tavares leaves Smokeleaf with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Tavares cracks Smokeleaf with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Smokeleaf tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tavares swivels and escapes.
Tavares throws a chopping leg kick but Smokeleaf manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Tavares throws a low kick but it's checked well by Smokeleaf.
Smokeleaf throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Tavares stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Tavares throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Smokeleaf misses with a straight left.
Tavares connects with a body shot that sends Smokeleaf's belly button to the back.
Smokeleaf is looking to wear down Tavares with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Tavares throws a sloppy head kick and Smokeleaf moves out of range easily.

Smokeleaf bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Tavares's head backwards.
Tavares has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
Smokeleaf moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Tavares will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Tavares lands a leg kick that knocks Smokeleaf off balance momentarily.
Tavares fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Smokeleaf has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Tavares.
Tavares connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Smokeleaf tumbling to the canvas! Tavares pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Smokeleaf was done - good stoppage!

Oh Washington is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Axelsson ducks under a wild hook from Washington.
Axelsson throws a powerful right kick. Washington tried to block low but the kick was high! Washington was taken right off of his feet! Axelsson jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!
