Bolt feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Georgijevic is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Rotten moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Rotten showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Montferrand.
Montferrand throws the left hand but Rotten avoids the punch easily.

and Rotten counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Rotten closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Montferrand did well to prevent Rotten getting side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Montferrand can do anything to dispel that myth.

Possibly an early stoppage but Rotten doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

The crowd cheers as Schillig lands an impressive looking overhand right. Silva doesn't seem phased though.

Silva throws a hook but Schillig blocks it.
Silva looks to land a right hand but Schillig moved out of range.
Silva thows a body shot but no joy.
Silva lands a nice shot to the body.
Silva moves in looking to clinch but Schillig pushes him off.
Schillig throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Silva on the side of the head.
Schillig has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Silva doesn't manage to clinch there - Schillig circles away.
Silva walks forward, straight into a front kick from Schillig.
Schillig fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Silva on the side of the head.
Silva moves to clinch but Schillig breaks away
and Schillig counters with a nice low kick that buckles Silva's knee momentarily.
Silva is breathing heavily.

Schillig turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Schillig steps in with a hook that catches Silva right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Schillig follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Silva looks absolutely devastated.

These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.
