Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Nogueira has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Hagen drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Nogueira right on the button. Nogueira goes down! Hagen follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Hagen gets the win via TKO!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Potasu has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Gage does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Gage feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Potasu sprawling to the canvas! Potasu rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Gage finish him?!

Gage ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Potasu out cold! The fight is over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Basher tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Pistoletov defends well and Basher ends up having to push Pistoletov into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Pistoletov changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Basher fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Pistoletov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Basher manages to avoid it.
Pistoletov misses with a two punch combination.
Pistoletov pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Basher back to the cage. Pistoletov follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Pistoletov gets caught flat footed, as Basher shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Basher has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
