Kalabokas swings wildly with an uppercut but Gentil uses good head movement to avoid it.
Gentil seems to have recovered his senses.
I was talking to Kalabokas's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Gentil jumps guard but Kalabokas stands there with Gentil around his waist. Gentil gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters circling a little - Sonoda finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Sonoda throws a head kick that misses.
Sonoda tries to clinch but Stewfis moves away
and Stewfis counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Rikiya Sonoda has been cut.
Stewfis checks a leg kick.
Sonoda pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Sonoda tries to work over Stewfis's front leg with a kick but Stewfis checks it.
Sonoda scores with the left hand. Stewfis knows he should have avoided that one.
Sonoda tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Stewfis manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Sonoda pivots, looking for a leg kick but Stewfis is out of range and Sonoda settles back down.

Sonoda tries to close the distance and clinch up but Stewfis swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Sonoda throws a sloppy head kick and Stewfis moves out of range easily.

It looks like Tubbins Stewfis has been cut.

Stewfis steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Sonoda. That one must have hurt.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sonoda ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Stewfis avoids the head kick by Sonoda.
Sonoda throws a head kick but Stewfis moves out of range.

Sonoda tries a head kick but it misses.

A decent looking body kick lands there for Sonoda.
Sonoda tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

and Stewfis connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Stewfis uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Sonoda.

and Stewfis counters with a straight right hand.
Sonoda throws a head kick but Stewfis moves out of range.
Sonoda bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Sonoda misses with a straight right.
Sonoda tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Stewfis drops Sonoda with a straight right hand, right on the button! Stewfis follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Leningrada comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Farewell of Slavyanka kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Blokada Leningrada told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Agasi is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Leningrada. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
Leningrada is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Agasi off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
Agasi just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
