The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taphorn shoots in looking for a takedown. Malkin tries to sprawl out of it but Taphorn keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Malkin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Malkin tries to keep at a distance but Taphorn has taken the fight into the clinch.

Taphorn gets control of Malkin's arms and successfully pulls guard. Taphorn will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Malkin has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Taphorn is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Malkin.

That was a close round but I would say that Tigran Badoyan will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Badoyan closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Thesz! Badoyan dives in looking to finish! Thesz is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tigran Badoyan!
Tigran Badoyan very nearly forgot to thank Conquer amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
