The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Valdedaz shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Zalac displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Goubo throws out the jab.
Goubo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Zalac moves away.
Zalac throws a series of punches but Goubo moves out of range.
Goubo tests Zalac's chin there with a solid looking shot.

and Zalac counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Banner lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Banner closes the distance and pushes McAndrew back into the cage.
A nice left hand lands by Banner.

McAndrew definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
McAndrew blocks a body shot from Banner.
McAndrew tries to break the clinch but Banner is controlling the position.
Banner prevents McAndrew from breaking the clinch.

McAndrew's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Banner tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McAndrew was well out of range. Poor timing from Banner.
McAndrew rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Banner counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps McAndrew thinking.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sniper McAndrew seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheers as Banner lands an impressive looking overhand right. McAndrew doesn't seem phased though.

It looks like Sniper McAndrew has been cut.

letting Banner counter with a right hand.

Banner feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends McAndrew sprawling to the canvas! McAndrew rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Banner finish him?!

and Banner counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks McAndrew out cold! What a finish! Banner is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!

Ditka's coach down at Bushido Training Center was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Ditka's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Blaine throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Blaine cracks Ditka with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Roshan shoots in looking for a takedown. Cecere tries to sprawl out of it but Roshan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cecere manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
