Mayhem lands another huge swinging hook and Ozkelius tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Ozkelius, before Mayhem can land any more shots!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lodano fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Lodano throws a series of punches but Smiff avoids them all with ease.
Smiff fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Smiff has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Smiff closes the distance and clinches up with Lodano, looking for a takedown. Smiff pushes Lodano against the cage but Lodano circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Smiff changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lodano tries to avoid it but Smiff manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lodano to the ground. Lodano escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Lucas Lodano has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Demetrious Smiff.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Lodano breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Lodano lands a hook that snaps the head of Smiff backwards.

Lodano lands a big uppercut and Smiff crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Smiff looks OK. Lodano waves Smiff back to his feet!

Smiff is rocked!
Lodano circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Smiff tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Lodano wins by KO!
