Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soto throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
We've been informed that Rua has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Rua fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Soto, pushing him back against the ropes.
Rua utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
We've been hearing reports that Soto has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Rua lands a knee to the body.
Soto can't get the takedown.
Soto tries a knee to the head but Rua blocks it.

A close third round but Mike Tyson just about did enough to take it.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Tyson felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Greenthumb loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Tyson scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Greenthumb land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Greenthumb stands and salutes the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 4, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Doctor Greenthumb!
Doctor Greenthumb is the new lightweight champion!
Doctor Greenthumb decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
