The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Girardi shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ludwig manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Girardi drops back looking for a leg! Ludwig is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ludwig manages to kick Girardi off! Girardi jumps back into Ludwig's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ludwig can do anything to dispel that myth.

Girardi seems to have locked his on tight now - Ludwig screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Girardi, as he picks up the win!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cobain changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Frankling tries to avoid it but Cobain manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Frankling to the ground. Frankling escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Frankling tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cobain was well out of range. Poor timing from Frankling.
Some wild striking there from Frankling.
Sloppy strikes from Cobain. Those never looked like landing.
Cobain tries to clinch but Frankling is having none of it.
Eddy Frankling seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cobain fails with an attempt to clinch.

Frankling shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Frankling showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Frankling not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Frankling wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cobain keeps working.
Cobain is looking to escape.

Frankling is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Cobain sees it coming and defends easily.

Cobain kicks Frankling off and gets back to his feet.
Cobain throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Frankling thows a left - swing and a miss!
Frankling punishes Cobain's body with a nice straight punch.
Cobain looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Frankling tries to clinch but Cobain moves out of range.

Frankling closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Cobain's guard.
Frankling tries to stand but Cobain is controlling from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Frankling looks winded!

Cobain wriggles free and stands up.
Frankling scores with a jab to the jaw.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Frankling has his takedown stuffed
and Cobain counters with a thumping low kick.
Cobain will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Cobain looks to land a combination. Frankling sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

It looks like Eddy Frankling has been cut.
Frankling circles away from the clinch attempt.

Cobain tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Frankling manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Frankling shoots for a double leg takedown but Cobain sprawls well. He's pushed Frankling's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Cobain forces Frankling back against the cage and clinches.

Cobain's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Cobain fails with an attempt to clinch.
Cobain tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Frankling paws at him with a jab and circles away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Frankling tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cobain swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Cobain has managed to clinch.
Frankling wants a takedown.
Beast Cobain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eddy Frankling.

Cobain gets control of Frankling's arms and successfully pulls guard. Cobain will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cobain has a closed guard, preventing Frankling from standing up.
Cobain is pulling down on Frankling's head to control his posture.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Cobain tries to pull guard but Frankling forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Cobain drops down looking for an ankle pick but Frankling pulls his leg out and moves away.
Cobain stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cobain wants it to stay on the feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cobain tries a head kick but it misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Beast Cobain will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Eddy Frankling's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Cobain shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Cobain is trying to control. Frankling wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Cobain lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Cobain lands a big elbow - Frankling is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Cobain!

Anhoej gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Parsons counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Anhoej to take - he tumbles to the canvas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by Parsons!

Hart comes to the cage accompanied by King Of KIngs. Staley comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Rooster kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! On his way into the cage it seems that Stevie Hart has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Stevie Hart seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Hart has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Staley controls Hart momentarily but Hart frees himself.

Staley breaks the clinch.
Hart really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Staley closes the distance and pushes Hart back into the cage.
Hart is trying to break free.

Staley drags the fight down to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hart stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Staley swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hart wants to control from the top but Staley keeps moving.
Staley is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Hart postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Staley is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Hart, into his guard.
Staley advances position into side control!
Staley landing strikes.
Hart is looking for a sweep.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hart is working hard here to advance position.
Staley lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Hart is trying to get back to half guard.
Hart takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Hart is looking to regain half guard here but Staley keeps moving and retains side control.
Staley remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Hart tries to bench press Staley off him but Staley keeps the position.
