I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Patrik Haska was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Horse seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

We're going to have a standup here because Wheasy Whee wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Whee postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Horse is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Whee, into his guard.
Horse is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Horse tries to close the distance and clinch but Whee swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Horse connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

The crowd cheers as Horse lands an impressive looking overhand right. Whee doesn't seem phased though.

Horacy Horse seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Whee takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Horse cracks the inside of Whee's front leg.
Horse thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Whee if he has to take too many more of those.

Horse gets in close and instigates a clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Whee blocks a body shot from Horse.

Whee fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Horse lands an uppercut.
Horse lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Oh Whee is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Whee seems to have got his legs back now.
Horse lands an elbow just above Whee 's eye.

Whee has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Horse uses from the top position.

Well Horse has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

That kick from Monzon tenderised Wayne's leg. Wayne is trying to keep his angry face on.

Wayne stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Monzon.

and Monzon counters with a nice kick to the body.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Monzon feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Wayne sprawling to the canvas! Wayne rolls over backwards and springs off the ropes and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Monzon finish him?!

Wayne is rocked!

It looks like Bob Jo Wayne has been cut.
Monzon scores with a nice body kick.
Monzon connects with a superb combination that knocks Wayne out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Monzon before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Wayne!

Jones sizes up Dmitriev with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Jones lands a two punch combo.
Some wild striking there from Jones.
Jones feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Dmitrievs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Dmitriev is rocked!
Dmitriev throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jones's waist but Jones gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dmitriev off to one side.
Dmitriev has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Jones misses with a wild combination.
Jones throws a series of punches but Dmitriev avoids them all with ease.
Dmitriev fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jones avoids it really well and circles away.

Jones drops Dmitriev with a beautiful combination! Dmitriev stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Jones is looking for the KO!
Oh Dmitriev is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jones is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Dmitriev flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Dmitriev is out cold! Jones holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jakoba Jones!
After the fight, Jakoba Jones was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.

Kwiatkowski lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Kwiatkowski shoots in for a takedown but Gregor shows good takedown defense.
Kwiatkowski throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Gregor counters with a left and a right that stings Kwiatkowski.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kwiatkowski shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gregor as he avoids it easily.
Kwiatkowski throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Kwiatkowski passes Gregor's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Kwiatkowski seems to be working for a kimura but Gregor defends the submission attempt.

Zhou misses with a low kick.
Lapis fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
The fight stays on the outside here - Zhou looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Lapis lands with a nice combination. Zhou backs away looking to recover.
Lapis shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Zhou eats them both and turns towards Lapis to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Zhou closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Zhou lands in his opponent's guard.

Lapis has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Zhou should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Lapis has tightened it up now! Zhou should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
