These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pitpitunge keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Pitpitunge tries for a takedown but Knight sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Knight tries to keep at a distance but Pitpitunge has taken the fight into the clinch.

Pitpitunge breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Knight looks to clinch
and Pitpitunge counters with a head kick.
Knight shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pitpitunge as he jumps to the side.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Oh Johnson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Damme manages to break the clinch.
A combination from Johnson does no damage.
Damme cracks Johnson on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Johnson falls backwards against the cage. Damme follows up with more strikes that drop Johnson to his knees. Damme keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Johnson! This one is all over!

I think Informed might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Stereopony - Hitohira No Hanabira. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

It's a brutal combination of punches from Informed! Lee is backing up but he can't get away as Informed lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Lee and ends the fight. Great knockout.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Whetu has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
