Mir has managed to clinch.
Maverick connects with a nasty looking knee right to Mir's face.
Mir wants to break free but Maverick has control.

Maverick pulls Mir into guard.
Mir distracts Maverick with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Mir stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Maverick swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mir lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Mir is trying desperately to land a takedown but Maverick is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Mir.
Maverick dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Mir. That did some damage!

Maverick clinches up with Mir and pushes him back against the cage.

Maverick ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Maverick no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Maverick manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mir manages to get himself to full guard.

Maverick is pushing down on Mir's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mir is fighting to maintain full guard but Maverick has managed to sneak the leg through.

Maverick jerks Mir's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Mir drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Maverick goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Maverick because Mir was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
