Townsley misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Risley closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Townsley to the mat! Townsley manages to get full guard.

Perez feints and then cracks Hicks's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hicks down.
Hicks misses with a double jab
and Perez counters with a thumping low kick.
Perez uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hicks has time to react.
Hicks throws a predictable looking body shot
and Perez counters with a slapping leg kick.
Hicks stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Perez.
Joshua Perez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Perez lands a big head kick that sends Hicks to the canvas! Perez follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

We've been hearing reports that Martinez has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that David Pony will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Thicke lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Pony enables Thicke to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Pony manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
