The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevens misses with a head kick.
Starstryder shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Stevens as he jumps to the side.

Stevens dives in and scores a takedown into Starstryder's guard.
Stevens is pushing down on Starstryder's leg trying to pass to half guard. Starstryder is fighting to maintain full guard but Stevens has managed to sneak the leg through.
Stevens lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Stevens seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Starstryder does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

I was talking to Starstryder's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
