The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gavric throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jigster's waist but Jigster gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gavric off to one side.
Gavric looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jigster slaps away a takedown attempt from Gavric, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mica Gavric. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jigster lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

It looks like Mica Gavric has been cut.

Oooooh!!! Jigster has knocked Gavric down with a huge combo! Jigster steps away and waves a wobbly Gavric back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Brock Jigster seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gavric looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jigster is fending him off so far but Gavric persists. Nope, Jigster circles away and we're back to standing.
Jigster moves in looking to clinch but Gavric pushes him off.
Gavric tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jigster was well out of range. Poor timing from Gavric.
Gavric drops his hands momentarily and Jigster takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Gavric closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Jigster's guard.
Gavric wants to pass the guard but Jigster is keeping the position.

Gavric controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Gavric has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Gavric throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Jigster tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Gavric is in Jigster's guard.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Mudisbarov creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Mudisbarov lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Jigster has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
