The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pettis has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Horvin.

Smith drops Bones with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Bones looks back up at him and smiles so Smith waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Bones is rocked!

It looks like Jonny Bones has been cut.
Smith drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Bones's head, knocking him out cold! Smith is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.

and Ballantine counters with a crisp one two that drops Salcedo! Ballantine thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Salcedo to his feet! Salcedo is in big trouble!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Salcedo get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Salcedo stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Ballantine runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!

A very excited looking Johnie Ballantine made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
Oscar Salcedo spoke after the fight, saying 'Hey guys I just wanted to say thanks for everything, you guys have made the last couple years of my life amazing. Its time for me to step back and retire. Ive given you guys everything I have but I have to look out for my health and my family. I have to retire tonight, thanks for everything.'.
