The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hicks turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Vialpando's coach down at was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Vialpando's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Hicks shoots in looking for a takedown but Vialpando manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hicks's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Ali shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Of Falusha eats them both and turns towards Ali to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Ali works Of Falusha's body with a nice hook.
Of Falusha takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Of Falusha's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Ali connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Of Falusha scrambles back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Of Falusha on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Ali. Ali obviously looking to wear him down.
Ali bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Of Falusha's head backwards.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Daniel Hazlehurst!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie blocks the body kick.
Hazlehurst throws a looping overhand right but Gracie ducks down to avoid it.
Gracie takes a jab right on the kisser.
Gracie will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown but Hazlehurst shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Hazlehurst throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hazlehurst slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Hazlehurst has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Gracie looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hazlehurst is fending him off so far but Gracie persists. Nope, Hazlehurst circles away and we're back to standing.

Gracie closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gracie lands in his opponent's guard.

Hazlehurst is in all sorts of trouble here.

Hazlehurst lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Gracie at a distance.
Hazlehurst throws a right and a left that Gracie avoids nicely.
A punch lands to the side of Gracie 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Hazlehurst stalks Gracie and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Gracie's face. Gracie staggers backwards, shaken.

Daniel Hazlehurst showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Oh Gracie is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hazlehurst lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Gracie closes the distance and clinches up with Hazlehurst, looking for a takedown. Gracie pushes Hazlehurst against the cage but Hazlehurst circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Hazlehurst counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Gracie seems to have got his legs back now.

Gracie takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Hazlehurst is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Gracie is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Hazlehurst is trying to escape and Gracie transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Hazlehurst is forced to tap! Nice work there by Gracie! Very nice indeed!
