The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Svensen tries to clinch but Ives is having none of it.
Ives misses the jab.
Ives wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Ives moves out of range as Svensen throws a body kick.
Svensen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Ives throws a big shot that misses.

Svensen moves into the clinch.
Svensen is trying to drag Ives to the mat but Ives just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Svensen works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Ives is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Svensen is aware though and is defending well.

Svensen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Svensen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nickson bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Crowe! He dives into his guard looking to finish!

Crowe is rocked!

It looks like Harley Crowe has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nickson loads up on a big left hand. Crowe felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Nickson looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Crowe can't hide his disappointment, as Nickson celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Johan Nickson!
Johan Nickson very nearly forgot to thank Merciless Gladiators amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.

Abe has chosen Uncle Sam Goddamn as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. No joy there for Abe, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Alighieri misses with a wild body shot.
Alighieri lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Alighieri smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
