The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nukem shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bunce but Bunce pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Bunce misses with a few strikes there.
No joy there for Nukem, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bunce stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bunce wants it to stay on the feet.
Nukem tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bunce sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nukem somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Duke Nukem. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bunce throws a lazy right hand but Nukem sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Bunce drops his hands momentarily and Nukem takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Bunce leaves Nukem with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nukem's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Bunce connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Nukem scrambles back to his feet.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Nukem.
Bunce lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Nukem walks straight into a right hand from Bunce - that's dropped him! Bunce jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Nukem from any more punishment! Nukem complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Gun has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Lo lands a nice hook to Gun's body. Gun takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Lo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gun paws at him with a jab and circles away.
