The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Campbell closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Irvin to the mat! Irvin manages to get full guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Campbell postures up in Irvin's guard and throws a big left but Irvin blocks it.

King has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as McArthur is landing a low percentage of strikes.
McArthur tries for a takedown but King sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

A head kick from King lands but McArthur takes it in his stride.

It looks like George McArthur has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and King counters with a perfectly timed head kick, knocking McArthur out cold! Wow, that took some serious skill and not a little luck! King is taking it in his stride though, strolling around like it's no big deal. What a guy.

Gilbert goes for a double leg but Jotko avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Jotko continues to drive forward.

Jotko breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
The fighters circling - Gilbert throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Jotko leaves Gilbert with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Jotko keeps the fight on the outside.
Gilbert avoids a punch combination nicely.
Gilbert tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jotko swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Gilbert lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
George Gilbert seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A solid body kick from Gilbert.
A decent looking cross lands there for Gilbert.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gilbert drops Jotko with a straight right hand, right on the button! Gilbert follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Velasquez looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Dekker digs a good body shot into Velasquez's ribs.

Dekker lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Velasquez backwards.
Dekker lands a body punch.
Velasquez should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Dekker is pushing Velasquez up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Dekker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dekker lands with a thumping leg kick.
A nice leg kick lands there from Dekker.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Velasquez takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Dekker lands a head kick. Velasquez smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Dekker lands a left and a right that send Velasquez crashing to the mat, dazed. Dekker thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Velasquez takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Dekker Rushes Velasquez and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Velasquez is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Dekker Piles on the pressure and Velasquez crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
