The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hayashi tries to keep at a distance but Tachibana has taken the fight into the clinch.
Tachibana tries to work over Hayashi's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Tachibana manages to break the clinch.
Tachibana has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Hayashi is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Tachibana throws a series of punches but Hayashi moves out of range.

Hayashi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tachibana as he jumps to the side.

Tachibana is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Tachibana flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Hayashi anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Tachibana and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Hayashi slips an arm under Tachibana chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Hayashi has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Hayashi is squeezing on Tachibana like an anaconda would it's prey. Tachibana fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Steamboat pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Takayanagi tries desperately to hold on but Steamboat is relentless in his assault! As Takayanagi receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Steamboat away and this one is in the books!

We've been told by Kagawa's head coaches at Tokyo Totally Gym + Sauna that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Kagawa tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Masters swivels and escapes.
Masters feints a jab promting Kagawa to slip. Masters then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Kagawa slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It looks like Shinji Kagawa has been cut.
Kagawa looks for a takedown but Masters sprawls well.
Masters lands a jab-cross combination.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Masters scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Masters 's coach down at OMG! They clinched Kenny! was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Masters 's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Kagawa takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Masters scores with a one two! Kagawa had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Masters fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kagawa.

Well Saidov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
