Thompson lands a really nice looking cross but Nichols seems unphased.
Thompson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Thompson misses with a series of wild punches.
Nichols jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Nichols definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Nichols throws a hook to the side of Thompson's head but Thompson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mma tries to avoid it but Jon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mma to the ground. Mma escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jon has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cozad The Island in the buildup to the fight.
