Ranger misses with a left hand

and Mudzuri counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ranger can do anything to dispel that myth.
Ranger trying to control but Mudzuri postures up.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Mudzuri in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Ranger tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Mudzuri!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Josiah Mudzuri!
An out of breath and clearly excited Josiah Mudzuri thanked Atlantis for their help and support (and free stuff they sent him).
