Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bum tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Silva manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bum throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Silva.
Bum throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Bum shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Silva but Silva pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Bum misses with a series of wild punches.
A head kick from Bum lands but Silva takes it in his stride.
Silva defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bum.
Bum buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Corner Bum.

Tanaka has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Nice uppercut lands for Daunotas. That snapped Tanaka's head back.
Daunotas fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Tanaka on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Daunotas has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Daunotas and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
